I have been a resident of Scottsdale, AZ for over 40 years.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been working in private practice since 2004. 

I have a Masters Degree in Clinical & Community Counseling and I am a member of the American Counseling Association, American Christian Counseling Association and the National Board of Counselors. I also served on the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) and was privileged to be its' Chairman from 2014-2016 and 2017 -1918). I also served on the Counseling Credentialing Committee, Rules Committee and Personnel Sub-committee. 

I believe that a therapist needs to be educated and familiar with different techniques, theories and modalities in order to provide the best treatments for the many complex needs of an individual. 

My specialties include:

• Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)
• Brainspotting
• Emotionally Focused Therapy  (EFT) 

I also facilitate workshops and trainings for groups and organizations in the areas of:  depression, anger, assertiveness, anxiety, effective communication, marriage/divorce and parenting.

In addition to my private practice, I also volunteer at Scottsdale Bible Church, providing counseling services to individuals and couples. 

I provide a strength-based compassionate approach to therapy with strong clinical skills while providing an emotionally safe, open and comfortable environment to explore your concerns and/or challenges. I can provide direction, clarity, focus and motivation for change. I am experienced in working with most age groups from diverse backgrounds.

I believe that we all experience struggles in different ways and we all have internal strengths, capabilities and gifts...and at times, we may all need help accessing them in order to deal with our current (and past) issues and challenges.
